On Tuesday I have an interview at Queens’ College, Cambridge to read Mathematics. I am nervous about the experience but certain about where my life is heading: I have an unconditional offer for the University of Warwick, another top university for mathematics, and I will definitely stay in education for the next four years.
All the interviews are in the morning, I assume this is to make sure the applicants have an active mind that is capable of tackling the difficult interview questions. I will append any questions I remember to my Cambridge interview document.
I do not like how people assume you are smart at the mention of the word Cambridge. There are plenty of high achievers who had no University education and I believe that if you have the talent, you will achieve wherever you are educated. This is dependent on whether you have the time to learn: commuting to London has severely restricted the amount of time I can dedicate to science and mathematics.
It is fulfilling to be respected and liked. I would like to become independent of people and feel totally satisfied with myself without others' approval.
