Still under spam attack

The spammers have no mercy. My journal is safe now but my guestbook is getting about ten spam messages per hour. Because of this I have implemented a simple word filter to block messages containing terms such as viagra, hydrocodone, ringtone and polyphonic. It is difficult to stop spam because it is so random; how can I possibly write code to block indistinguishable spam homepage URLs and messages containing randomness such as ‘myrtle beach’?

Spam is probably the worst thing on the internet and offenders should be physically punished for causing so much stress and aggravation. If the punishment for spamming was to be hung, drawn and quartered there would be less spam on the internet. This punishment involves being

  1. Dragged on a hurdle (a wooden frame) to the place of execution
  2. Hanged by the neck, but removed before death
  3. Disembowelled, and the genitalia and entrails burned before the victim’s eyes
  4. Beheaded and the body divided into four parts

A fair punishment for people who inflict stress on a large proportion of the world’s population.
